There are a couple minor differences in '82, but the big one is the pistons. 9.25:1 for non-turbos and 7.2:1 (non-APC) or 8.5:1 (APC) for turbos. The funny thing is that B202 Turbos run 9:1 and B206 (NG900, 9-3) Turbos run 9.25:1. I've always thought that using 8vNA pistons in a Turbo motor would probably just fine, as long as you're running APC and/or run conservative (e.g. stock) boost. Aside from basic questions about detonation and whatnot, the main remaining question is piston material - is whatever NA pistons are made out of good enough for a Turbo application?
If you want to find this info out, I say go for it! The problem you'll run into is that 8v NA engines do not have ANY knock control. At least when turbo-ing 16v motors you've got EZK handling knock control via ignition timing. I don't know whether 8v NA blocks are tapped for a knock sensor, but if not I would definitely put that in the Installation Plans. With that out of the way, wiring in APC is a simple matter.
All that said, I'd recommend scrapping this entire line of thought and installing a 16v motor. NA or Turbo, your choice. It isn't difficult, doesn't take a lot of work, and the end result will be a more flexible motor, probably a more powerful motor, and one that should get as good or better gas mileage. This is, of course, assuming your state's inspection won't give you crap for a motor swap. You can use your existing CIS or I can send you the documentation I wrote for my 16v swap if you want to install LH as well. It's fun!
