comes from the rear side windows if they do not shut tightly against the gaskets. Water runs off the back of the roof gutters and down to the rear of the rear windows. Check them by closing a strip of paper between window and gasket and see how easy it pulls out. It is easy to tighten them up by adding flat washers under the latch base at the three screws. I have found 99/900 three doors that sat and filled up till the water leaked out the doors. RE: adjusting the rear hatch- If you can still push it down then you have not adjusted it very tightly. Always push down on the hatch as you pull up on the latch to release it. If you have real trouble getting it to unlatch inspect the latch and see if it has worn to the point of having a spot that catches - you can apply a file to the catch spot to make it work more smoothly.
