I'm glad to hear that you got it. Doug's pictures were a great help to me when I did it the first time. Saabpics has been down for a few days now.

It would be a good idea to regoop. I cleaned the area around the bolts and put some of the aluminum duct-sealing tape around the bolt heads to keep water out. It's a bit expensive to get a roll of it just for these, but it seals very well. If you clean it up well and get all of the oils and dust off the area around the bolts, a good blob of silicone seal or siliconized caulk around the bolt head shold do ok. The downside to that s that you'll have to cut it off if you need to remove the kneepad again.

I had some of the tape on hand because I've been using it to seal holes that the (unbelievably poor) H&V contractor left in the ductwork. (It's almost like we'd have heated and cooled the outside less if we'd left the front door open.)
