Not all that familiar with the later models, but with my 82 900, I've discovered a weak link in the boost over-pressure cut-off switch. If that circuit is interrupted in any way, there's no signal to the pump. In my case the switch itself (located behind the dash, near the guage cluster) was faulty, so replaced it. Then some 6 months later the problem returned, and I discovered a short in the main plug which connects the internal cabin wiring with the wiring group that runs to the fuse box. That plug is located just to the left of your knee along the interior wall and behind the dash knee pad. I bypassed that circuit entirely within the fuse box. I'll never see boost levels anywhere near the level which is designed to interrupt the fuel pump, so I'm not concerned about voiding that circuit. Anyway, that's my experience. Good luck!
