Aye, 'tis a truly embarassing thing to admit to my mates that the household garage holds both an SPG and a minivan. Worse yet, it's the second minivan, as the first got the boot last week. For a guy who had owned only nimble cars and an old shortframe LandCruiser, it was and still is a shock. Sigh.
On the other hand, YOU try fitting 4 growing kids, their friends, a Lab, luggage, fishing gear, hunting bow and your spouse into anything smaller than a minivan.
(Truth to tell... shhh, don't tell anyone... that Honda is amazingly well engineered for what it is. And the old Civic that m'lady had before we wed was the most trouble-free car I have ever seen. Not much fun to drive, mind you, but it met her needs. Oh, and the answer to my question: the Helm manual seems to be the shop manual of choice.)
Gotta go bond with my SPG. Later.
