Generally speaking, such activities are generally part of a larger tuning package. I suppose on some cars you may see bigger gains, but the qc on a Saab's head is pretty high, and they're decent out of the box. I wouldn't even expect to see 5hp on a P&P job. If you've got the car and got the time, of course it won't hurt - but don't expect anything even remotely resembling a night & day difference.
If you want to have some fun, I'd pick up a set of 16v NA pistons, an MSS cam, an old 8v fuel pump relay (to defeat the rev limiter), and throw on that MSS header along with a matching MSS exhaust. You could probably net somewhere in the area of a 20-30hp increase - possibly more. An old 8v with 145hp could be a lot of fun...
