Parking brake moved to rear wheels on late models?

Just wondering if anyone knows if Saab ever moved the parking brake from front to rear wheels? I work with a guy that has a late model C900, and he claims his parking brake is on the rear wheels. I didn't argue much about it, because my own 900 is an early '85 Aero, and my former Saab was an '84. Both these sure has the parking brake on the front wheels. Haynes excellent manual doesn't mention the brakes ever moved either...
