ute test drive....was wondering about that. what does it mean? BTW- it is a 5-speed. I couldn't get a car like this with out the manual(even though my friends think i'm nuts because i live in the city!) there are records for the car (but i think they start with ownr 2@150,000 miles) and ive talked to the mechanic (only works on saabs) who has worked on it through the last two owners. Aparently there has been some? money put into it and he says "Its a good starter car" and "It wont leave you stranded" Do the turbos always make the 'woooosh' sound? The body is in pretty good shape - a little rust inside bottom of doors. Its probably nothing but , under the hood there was more visible rust and not so clean looking. it looked old- but it does have 170+k on it. It shifts like a dream through all the gears, and is steady acceleration throughout.hey, about that upkeep thing, when should the oil be changed?
Sounds like you got a nice car on the way! The one i'm looking at seemed to really move, so i'll bet yours is going to be screamer.Of dourse my old car that just blew up was a 85 toyato tercel automatic that made a big fuss in passing gear but didn't move any faster.
Where did you find such a quality engine with only 80k, and how do you know it service record?
what is the top speed on a make-over like that? Special tires to handle increased power? Thanks again for the advice, and goodluck with the new machine!
