pinion bearing upgrade kit for my tranny that is getting rebuilt. The kit is for '88 and earlier and is stronger than the later Classic 900 pinions. I was told that it would fit in my existing '88 tranny housing but we are having to put on an '89 and up tranny case to make room for the bigger pinion. I asked for '89 or '90 so I can still have the tranny drain plug. Since the tranny had to be rebuilt I found a good condition '91 engine complete with turbo with 82K miles to drop in with my old rebuilt tranny bolted on. The '90 and up turbo spools up faster than the older turbos so it will be fun to see the difference. My mech also has a performance APC box that he is adding to the engine. Many have added the 3' exhaust which increases power with high flow cat. Larger intercooler or Saab 9K intercooler. Air ram setup to get cooler air into the engine. I've got my hoodscoop on but I think I will wait for summer to hook it all up to the air box with K&N. When your turbo dies you could upgrade that. Check out the Swedish Dynamics site for some serious power upgrades. I'm upgrading stuff as it breaks to make it more affordable. It's fun having the bug isn't it? Do searches on BB for many more power upgrade ideas.
