actually the speaker shelfs are molded, but the upholstery does come off so you can reuse it to apply your new fabric to. Mind you I have 6X9 speakers in the parcel shelf, so the factory ones are covered with the new fabric.
Go for it. Just make sure you find a good replacement fabric first. The first one I installed was to shaggy, and I ended up replacing it again.
Tools needed
Sand paper $1.00
utility knife (should have one laying around or an exacto knife)
scissors(same)
3M adhesive spray $5.00
fabric $20 (tops)
Philiph screw drive-you better have one
Miscellaneous sockects-see above
Results "priceless" :-)
