I got to the shop and inspected the hood. Paint contained dust marks under the clearcoat. There was dings where the saab emblems were on each side, they did not level it off, just painted it over. So I took a piece of sandpaper and asked if I could wetsand the areas that I saw dust bumps. I wetsanded about 30 min. Then I had the detail guy buff it out for about an hour. He buffed it about 4 times. It came out looking like a mirror. Put it on the car..and ....yep wrong color AGAIN. Then he tells me he ordered the 204b Ed, Gray. So I go to the paint place and tell the guy my situation. He looks up the Dupont listing and... it said 204g Ed Gray? He said there is no listing for a 204b. I said bullshit look at the stamp code in the bottom of trunk lid. So he had no answer. So that tells me that the auto body guy painted it 204G not B as I specifically asked both times. So I have to go tuesday for a 3rd paint job on the hood. This time he better remove the emblem side dings, and get the color right. This is what I have to go through when I pay $300.00 for a hood paintjob!..Its a cheap price..but many hastles. But..I enjoyed the fact that he let me do as much wetsanding as I wanted..I didnt finish untill I got every imperfection out of the paint. So we shall see!
