Well, it is done. Took the car out with the 25 amp fuses and it seems to be working.
I don't doubt you guys but I had already oiled the joints and checked fluid level and leaks. I couldn't get any more advice from the bulletin board and this was driving me off the cliff.
Jerry at the SAAB dealer claims to have 20 year saab experience and never once changed the pump in these convertibles. Next, if this fails will be to change the c/d relays (front and back). The front was drawing 12 amps but the back was at 18. Both fuses blow because they work together somehow. Cost $99 diagnosis + $.20 fuses.
Also, changed the sticky break light switch at no charge since it was put new 6 months ago. Glad it was someone else getting under the kneepad and not me.
I will post if they are more problems or developments with this.
