it's tricky the first time--- (first remove main door trim panel) as I remember, you're not supposed to actually remove the plastic triangle completely--- if you pry up the lower part it will pop free and then pivot on the upper pin/fastener, allowing access to the screws underneath that hold the mirror to the door. If you do pop that upper fastener out, you may have a lot of trouble getting it back in and looking nice. This advice was for a '87900T, other years may be different...
