The SPG was a US model only, mainly because Saab was not allowed to use the Aero name at that time due to copyrights by GM. The equivalent to an SPG is a 900T16 Aero for the rest of the world. The cars in America got the slightly uprated engine +5 hp, lowered stiffer springs (except for the early SPG's) the body kit which consists of the side panels, AirFlow bumpers as well as the Whale tail were an option from the dealer but were not standard. My car I have an AirFlow kit on my 88 SPG, however it took me a few years to find a front/rear set of bumpers along with the whaletail.
Hope this helps.
