Seems to me that this is a simple case of too hot a plug for that high speed use/harder driving. Try going to the next COLDER plug in the series (don't remember if that's a 6 or an 8 but the NGK book will reveal). Also, SAAB themselves specify changing the heat range of the plug under certain driving conditions. Since all else seems to be running well and boosting properly this seems likely to me. If you were running lean, you'd most likely see some pinging and resultant APC boost reduction.
