Rene,
I think one problem still might be the TPS. I don't like that it doesn't click aloud. It should. But if it's electrical tests are okay...
Did you check for wide open continuity at idle position (bad) or vice versa? The TPS could be broken and making contacts at both idle and WOT (wide open throttle) at the same time. That would definitely confuse the brain. I'd double check that TPS, for sure.
Also, the other codes you mentioned [12223(fuel too lean), 12111 (vacuum leak, oxygen sensor, air mass meter)] could be due to a vacuum leak or faulty Air Mass Meter. The AMM is bad on my Mom's '90, as well, and our mechanic swapped in a new AMM and codes all cleared up and her car's weird cold-idle fluctuations stopped. Does your '89T have any of these symptoms?
I'm guessing not, as you said it runs fine. In that case, I'd look at all the rubber air hoses under your hood (from valve cover to throttle body AND also the hoses to the charcoal canister in driver's fender AND hoses to vacuum reservoir canister--white, ribbed plastic--on passenger's side). Replace any split/cracked hoses, preferably with 3.5mm silicon tubing. Windshield washer tubing may work, but not for long as it won't stand up to the hot underhood temps and oil vapors from engine crankcase ventiliation.
If all else fails, I might suspect the LH computer itself because '89, I've heard, was not a banner year for dependability on that computer. (That was the first year of the Turbos LH 2.4, non-T's received it in '88.) In fact, the 1990 900 base which my Mom has had its "brain" crap out earlier this year. It died all of a sudden and could only be revived by jumping fuel pump relay ground wire to ground permanently. A good used brain solved that. But now it's inner drivers are bad...
I don't want to tell you it's the LH brain for sure, because I'm no mechanic (shadetree type at best!). I would just say be open to the possibility of such a replacement. For now, I'd just test that throttle position switch again.
Hope this helps!
