Arghhh! What have I done? I finished replacing the last of the leaky seals in my car today. Prior to doing it, I was able to hit 13psi and it ran fairly well. Today I replaced the oil filter housing gasket, the distributor o-ring, and the valve cover gaskets. I also replaced my Bosch plugs with a set of NGKs. After putting everything together I was delighted to see that my car had stopped spewing oil. I did a quick degreasing, making sure I covered the important parts.

But...now whenever my car gets into boost, it peaks at about 7 psi and the APC solenoid starts chattering non-stop. If I hit the brakes it will stop momentarily then start back again as soon as I release the brakes. It stops chattering all together if I hit the brakes 3-4 times. I can't figure out what I've done.

I checked all the vacuum lines, they are all reconnected and holding vacuum. I set the timing after I reinstalled the distributor. The plugs are correctly gapped. The connections to the solenoid are ok, and the APC box plug is tight. If I turn the ignition on, the solenoid energizes, and if I rap on the knock sensor, it chatters.

I'm out of ideas and am open to any suggestions.
