True about the morning sickness; this is a sign that the seals in the steering rack are going the way of the dodo. In the past, I've taken a couple of quarts of el-cheapo brand power steering fluid, along with a quart of engine flush (I can almost hear people grasping their chests now!), and mixed about 2/3 ps fluid to 1/3 engine flush, emptied the old fluid, put in my "cleaner mix", let it run for five minutes or so, and then repeated the process again. Got millions of little nasty black bits out of the system. Subsequently used Valvoline's synthetic ps fluid, and given it a dab of Lucas Oil's Power Steering fluid. This stuff sells for about $6.00 for 1/2 quart, and can be found at many auto stores. After adding the Lucas Oil product, the seals took on a new life (and lived happily ever after).
