Seats from '82 thru early'88 - without passive belts, and then after passive belts in '90 - early '91 I think. I believe that the way to tell is by the seat back release - the release on the side of the seatback and the release down at the hinge relate to the mounting type. This is for 2 & 3 door cars. The 4-doors did not get passive belts as far as I know and the upholstery will interchange to the hinged back seats [ seats are same without hinged backs ]. I do not know if the 4 door cars ever got the side of back release-style seats and mounts. I think this all is correct - except I talked with a woman driving an '89 SPG without passive belts the other day. Cars I have dealt with are USA - West coast.
