more like a little bolt.. in the extreme corner at the left rear of the sump.. i must admit mine had me puzzled for a while.. u need to see it as opposed to feel it.. its quite visible.. u can fill the new filter with oil if u want.. i just think its a messy waste of time.. done rev sh-t outta the engine till the oil light goes out is the only thing i would say.. one test for bearing wear i have always used is to listen for a faint clatter from them when the oil light isnt out.. a faint clatter that shuts up as soon as the oil light goes out is a good test for slight (big end) bearing wear..
the advice about not revving the sh-t out of an engine until the oil light goes out applies at all cold starts not just filter change ones.. it always amazes me that a lot of folks do this..
