even gunge can cause a thread to be too tight for finger tightening.. u are talking a pefect world here to always expect it.. if u are sure the threads are not crossed applying a little more pressure (torque) is the simple answer to a tight thread.. mind u there is a skill to doing this and knowing when or if to stop.. something a torque wrench only mechanic will probably never learn.. he he..
put the plug into a long extension bar to make sure its straight and lined up the same as one of the others and try a little more than finger pressure.. half a turn in then back out kinda thing.. u can cut some slots into an old plug to help clean out the threads a bit like a real tap would do..
