Identify these brake hoses (pic).... damage??

Can you identify these 2 hoses? I THINK one is the emergency brake, the other perhaps the actual brake line?
While tightening my ball joint to the upper control arm, i accidentally wedged hose #1 between a wrench and the backside of the dust cover (i was wrenching the bolt, and had another wrench on the nut supported against the dust cover so it wouldn't move while i was working the bolt). When i finished tightening, i realized that the hose was caught between the wrench and the dust cover... thus getting "squeezed" more and more as i tightened the bolt.
I know one of the brake hoses damages easily, can hose #1 in the pic take a little abuse (any test to see if damaged)? While i'm at it, i'd like to know what each one is.
Thanks.
