A while ago, I gave a jump start. Right after giving it, my car stalled, and wouldn't start again. I had it towed to a garage, where they started the engine, and kept it running for three weeks. It didn't stall again ... until ... the other day, when I was having the engine cleaned, and the cleaning guy sprayed (as he put it) "just the sides and back, not the engine at all", and the same thing happens. Now when I start the car, it will idle fine, but when I go to drive it, it shudders and stalls. After a while I can get it going, but it takes a couple of minutes of really gunning the engine, and then riding the clutch a bit for the first little while of driving. I guess the common denominator in these cases is the drenching of some portion of the car, but I'm concerned about what might be going on. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!!
