"Given the problems you have had with doing everything else, I don't think you have a chance of finding the bulb by reaching through the radio hole"
(thanks for the laugh!)

Actually, as i've just completed the ball joints, i feel i'm ready to pull an engine, and that's why every minuscule problem under the sun starts to come to the forefront. Also, this was the first "larger" project i've undertaken on my own since becoming a DIYer (and without any supervision from a more experienced person), so i'm now ready to find my next project.

Just a little background, i'm the second owner of this '86 900S, but have owned it since April 1991. Most prior repairs were done thru our family mechanic, except for routine oil changes and minor tinkering like headlight replacements and the such. I've always been interested in the cars i've owned, but never had the guts to really start taking things apart to the point where i might not be able to get them back together. This recently changed in the last 8 months as i've discovered this board, got a Bentley, and figured out just how much i was <over>paying my mechanic for list price genuine Saab parts.

On the whole, the car actually runs VERY good... and looks even better! I'll have to take a picture soon and post it. May not be a show car like many others on this board, but i'm somewhat proud of mine. I also have a personality that once i start something, i dive into it, so i enjoy learning everything i can about this car... although i still have a way to go from understanding a problem and executing a solution:) So although it may sound like i have a few problems, most of it is relatively minor things (that hopefully even I can do!)

Thanks for all of your help so far (and thanks again for the laugh)
