Open the hatch and pull up the spare tire cover. A little to the right of the center, you'll see 2 10-mm or so bolts. Look right down under them and you'll see the sunroof motor and the gearbox. Remove those bolts and you can rotate out the motor & gearbox. There's a cover on the gearbox held on by 3 or 4 screws which tend to loosen. If you're lucky, you can just chase around the trunk, find the screws and sleeves, clean them up, lube them, put them all back together, and retighten the screws. If you're not lucky, you'll need to replace the gear.
If necessary, you can get a new gear pretty inexpensively from a Jaguar dealer (and trim it a bit to fit). Do a search, above, on Jaguar to find the part number.
