I just purchased a 92 900 Turbo convertible that has the original top. It is going to need to be replaced soon.

I've been informed that a new one will cost around $1,000 to $1,600 depending on the quality. Is that most likely what I should expect to pay? Can anyone recommend a shop(s)in the San Francisco bay area (I live in San Jose) that is reliable but won't break the bank? I've been told that the folks at Upholstery Specialists on Lincoln Ave. in SJ are good.

Any feedback would be appreciated....
