Get a Bentley manual for complete wiring and test info.

First check the wiring just ahead of the driver door in fender well. the insulation rots here and could be the problem. Basically you need to find the harness that goes to the mirror motor. I don't have the wiring diagram in front of me but I think there are 3 oe 4 harnesses that feed into the door from this fender area, one is windows, one is locks, one is mirror motor and one is mirror heat(the last two may be combined). By pulling connectors apart you can figure out which is which, by process or elimination. Then you can check for power at the mirror terminals when you work the switch. If power then problem is probably mirror motor. If nothing, then the problem is with wiring, switch or fuse. Then pull switch and check for power at switch and for continuity/no continuity at switch terminals in various positions. You'll just have to keep digging and sorting things out. there is no magic formula
