This is what I did when I added a oil cooler to my 2.1L S. You can use the same oil cooler mount, as well as ANY oil cooler (3/8" nipple). What you do is this:

-Get the lines off the cooler and mount.
-Cut the hoses off the nipples as much as possible.(Cooler and Mount nipples)
-Take a hacksaw, or similar and cut the metal clamp which is pressure installed on the nipples. You will now see that there are little barbs on the piping.
-Figure out what cooler, mounting location etc that you are going to use.
-Mount cooler.
-Then measure out aprox length of 3/8 hose needed (use 3/8" transmission cooler line) Add 3" or so, just to be safe.
-Then run lines to positions.
-Install a screw-type hose clamp to the line, before installation.
-Then take some grease and apply to nipple so that line will slide on easier.
-Then just tighten down the clamps well. (I used 2 side by side, just for ease of mind)
-Start car, and let idle till you feel that oil out line is hot, then watch for leaks.

This is a universal way to repair leaky, or broken lines w.o the large costs! I have used it also on a friends '88 SPG as well as my late '83T.

My e-mail is duthiej@marietta.edu if you need more help.

GoodLuck,

Pic of my cooler below... ("Reduce oil or transmission fluid temperature up to 95 degrees F with this Perma-Cool Maxi-Cool Six Pass Cooler. It features an all-aluminum construction with a 3/8 in. NPT inlet and outlet, six 5/8 in. cooling tubes, and 1 1/2 in. wide Turbulator fins for more efficient cooling. By routing the fluid through six tubes, it provides the largest cooling reduction of any cooler on the market today. Hoses and mounting hardware sold separately.")

18 in. long x 10 1/2 in. wide x 1 1/2 in. high, 3/8 in. NPT ends, Maxi-Cool Six Pass Cooler
