could be sensor, bag, or most likely the wire spool under the bag on the steering column. This is the device that keeps the bag connected regardless of steering wheel position.
There is a readout plug that will spit out a code. Also you need a good indy or a dealer with the reader to shut off the code after it's fixed.
The spool is easy to replace yourself, but also doesn't chew up much tech time. Since you will need a pro to reset the light, I'd have it done.
