1) find your air leak. Then replace spark plugs with NGK 7's, any brand rotor, any brand cap, and any brand air filter. TRUST ME HERE. Tune-up is KEY.
2) find where the hose fell off the boost pressure gauge or broke. You might be able to hear an air whooshing affect. This is not enough of a leak to on its own cause your rpm problems.
3) Adjust the shifter, maybe need a new one if your's is from wrong year (they changed pre/post 1985-6.5 as I recall). GET A BENTLEY MANUAL and read how. Also search this BB for about 1000 posts on shifter adjustment. Use this BB's search engine
4) Headliner=DIY. Save money and spend on real repairs like the head gasket I am sure you will need.
5)Go to website http://www.twinsaabs.com and learn something about the repairs YOU WILL be doing on the car.
