Honestly, I do not see a simple solution for you. As far as I know, no one is rebuilding and stocking these engines. I also doubt that you will be able to find a used low mile replacement, since you have the last year for U.S. 8 valve turbos. I can think of several options, but none are simple and all are time consuming with the possibility of many little glitches to work through.
The best suggestion I have is to look for the best engine that you can find, preferably in a running car, even if you have to buy the whole car, you can usually get a good deal. Then rebuild that engine, as long as you can re-use the orgingal pistons and keep the bottom end standard, the rebuild cost will be reasonable, probably 1/3 to 1/2 as much as a remanufactured engine, if one could even be found.
