Hey all,
I'm planning a trip to a U-Pull It this month and have never gone before. Any experience? I gather you pay an admission fee and return to the office on the way out with your loot and pay. Are prices set, ie negotiatable? I suppose many mfrs have rather specific parts, so do they just fall into a larger category?
Second, I just got an LCD multimeter and would like to use it at the yard if there's any electrical stuff left, window motors, AMM, etc. And of course run some tests on my car, too. But I can't really figure out how to use it. I tried to test something and probably hit too many things at once--popping and smoke! Don't want to fry the system. And to be honest, I don't really understand what it means to fry the system. Just too much juice in a circuit that melts something? Could someone post some little elementary tests so I could understand how to use it?
