Clean out your trunk drains!
Yep, it's that simple. A number of what look like rubber plugs in the bottom of the trunk/boot area are actually drains. They will let in a very small amount of moisture, but if they're plugged they turn into valves and you get a lake. Also ensure the clear rubber hose running from the silly power window antenna is not obstructed.
I'm not sure about sunroof drains 'cause I've never had one on a 900.
When diagnosing your trunk for Portland duty, I'd recommend folding down the seat and then crawling in there while a good friend sprays the trunk seams with a hose. Crude but effective.
After you unplug your trunk drains, give it a good cleaning so sediment and other dirt won't give you the same problem next time it rains (in Portland, that would be tomorrow.)
At least you didn't have 45 mile an hour winds at 30 degrees and blowing snow... I wish they'd plant some trees around here... My poor Saab in the driveway.... :~(
