Well,
I bought this car a while back hoping I would have found a winner, but of course there have been many repairs in the history of it (as expected). On purchase I knew 2nd gear's synchromesh was toast but figured I could get by without using second, or just time the RPMs to pull it in. Anyway tranny started giving me big problems on Februaury 7th. Third gear pops and bucks on a regular interval and interval of pops and bucks picks up as speed increases (missing gear tooth?). Now third and fourth's synchro are gone so I have easy shifts into first and fifth only... I also have an 1985 SAAB 900 and I was wondering if I could drop the trainy out of it and put it in the 1988 SAAB 900 Turbo. I'm sure this overhaul would be no walk in the park, but I just need to know whether or not they are compatible or if I'll have to do any major "tweaks"
Thanks
