oil pressure is higher when the oil is cold.. a minute is a long time.. what is your theory.. that thick cold oil is taking a long time to get thru the filter or something.. if so it dosnt make sense.. low oil pressure is caused by excess bearing clearance or excess oil pump rotor clearance.. either the oil gets past the worn bearings too easy or it slips back past the worn pump rotors. in either case cold thick oil will cause more oil pressure to be generated and the oil should get around just as quick.. u are probably talking about less than a cup full of oil that needs shifting thru oilways to bearings.. this cant possibly take a minute..
thin hot oil will cause less pressure to be generated.. with bearing or pump wear your oil pressure light is far more likely to come on when things are hot and the oil is thin than when the oil is thick and cold..
basically your symptoms dont make sense.. he he..
one good test for worn big-end bearing is to listen for a faint clatter during the initial start up period.. the brief period before that oil light does go out.. (a minute is far too long for oil to get round your engine)if your bearing are worn u will hear it.. it will also instantly stop when the oil light goes out.. its quite noticable when u know what to listen for..
and have u changed your oil filter recently.. i dont think this has anything to do with it.. but one never knows..
