usually derived from apples, but also from wine. Product of one of several types of bacillus that ferments ethanol.
Seriously, vinegar, Coca Cola, Pepsi. All will remove deposits. I still think the problem is the check valves though. Let me know when you want me to tell you how to rebuild them, or just look for my 1-2 month old post.
