Fuel distributor woes

Hi! The car is a 87 turbo 8 valve, with the Bosch C-Jetronic injection system. The problems started some time ago with bad cold starts. At best only three cylinders would ignite, with the fourth one lighting after a brief warmup. To amend this I changed the spark plugs and wires, but to no avail. The old spark plugs were sooty. My next step was removing the injectors for cleaning.
While the injectors were out, I tested the distrubutor by cranking the engine with the fuel lines venting to the atmosphere. No unnecessary risks were taken, all was covered up. Crank time was minimized. Anyhow, no fuel emerged, which led me to suspect the fuel control valve. Everything is pressurized up to the distributor (tested).
Having only opened the "air"-side, I see that the flap (which as I see it equals the AMM om a LH-equipped engine) moves quity easily, quickly falling back to its resting position when released. A Saab mechanic told me that the flap controls a pin valve inside the fuel distributor via the clever arm and counterweight link. Is the pin directly connected to the arm, so I can presume it moves freely within the assembly?
Removing the whole assembly to open the distributor is now an easy task, I only need to remove three fuel lines to do so. My question is hoever if there's anything I can do in there, except perhaps clean out gunk?
Bes regards,
Jimmy S.
