You did ok. Unfortunately, you do have to take off the lower dash to get at the fuel pump and system relays. But, in the case that you just want to get the ECU out, you can remove the trim piece that runs up the front of the door opening and remove the door opening trim piece, then peel back the carpeting with the seat all the way back. The upper front torx screw is difficult (that's the nice word) to get to with the lower dash in place, but not impossible.
On RHD cars, I couldn't say whether anything else would be in the way of getting to all of the Torx screws on the ECU.
I'd give you a link to the Townsend Imports page that gives the reasons for replacing the sufl pump and system relays after an ECU failure, but they appear to be offline at the moment.
Right, as far as I know, there aren't any other relays in a C900 that you can swap with to replace the fuel pump and system relays. That's too bad, too. If you're in the US, you can get them from some of the site sponsors for around $12. Good question as to what the price from discount houses might be in the UK.
