1) To remove whether for replacement or you just go beneath stearing wheel and there is a plastic retainer with a slot in it. Turn the slot 90 degrees and remove. It is long. The plastic piece will drop, and the 2 torx screw driver screws need removal. The assmbly should now be in your hand. pull the plug from the blinker, unscrew it, and drop it down.
2) Usually the 2 halfs pull apart. Decision time. You can go inside and carve the soft white metal to once again catch the spring loaded clicker, or you can ignore it all and just fix the highbeam by tightly fastenning the halves together. You can drill out the rivots and insert screws, or you can wrap wire around and twist it tight. The best way to do that is to get thin wire, clamp the device, and on either sided wrap wire around twice, then twist the ends together tightly.
Replacement is the opposite of removal.
Use a site sponsor for the part if you must but be forwarned, cruise control relays on the stalk are different for different years, so you need to order the correct year.
