I had a charging problem 2 days ago on my 1987 900 turbo. I ended up at the parts store that installed a new battery for me about 6 months ago. After several tests, the store clerk said that the 6 month old battery was bad. He actually took that battery out of the car and took it inside for an extensive analysis on some machine. So he installed another battery. This time, however, he said that the battery that the car calls for seems too small. So, he installed a stronger battery. Now the charging light is on. Could it possibly be too strong for the car? He said he couldn't believe that a turbo car called for such a small battery. Could this present any problems for me and should I take it back and have him put the correct size battery in the car? Is there such a thing as "over charging"? Thanks for any and all help and info.
