.....the top is not up to the task of standing up to that kind of abuse. I'm on Long Island and the winters are cold, particularly this season. If its below 30F, I let the car, any car, stay dirty. When the temperature goes up, I'll wash it regardless of how chapped my hands will get even when wearing plastic or rubber gloves. You know, I never took any car I owned through a carwash....even the hardtops. Besides, all of that water used by carwashes has been used and reused. I do like the Canadian idea of an indoor hand-car-wash though. Sounds like an idea for us here because I've never seen one.
