.......You need to inspect the undercarriage and see if the space frame is bent. If no, then you need to replace all the itmes that attach the axle to the frame. If yes, repair frame then replace all the other stuff. The axle might also be bent, but unlikely if your car alignment place says thumbs up.
I would also check to see if the engine/tranny were shifted too and if the "A" armes were bent. They might break if fatigued. They might break if old too with or without an accident.
A car's alignment has less to do with the direction the frame is going in and more to do with the direction the tires are pointed in by the rear axles and control arms. If the car is bent, the tires can still all be directed into a straight direction, albeit a new and different one.
