............I rebuilt mine using GM alternator brushes that I had to cut down and then file down to shape and size. Then you need to break old solder joints and uncrimp them too, then insert the new braded copper wires, crimp and re-solder. Don't lose or forget the springs or you are screwed. Someone like myself (or I am guessing Russel Guilliano) would take the time and get it right, but it is finnicky. You also need to re-grease the motor with correct stuff, and fit it together properly , which is tricky. If the problem is not in the switch or in cracked factory wiring at the door/fender interface, then rebuild or buy replacement.
$60 seems high to me. Try http://www.sobstory.com for a better deal, or use another "used car parts" site sponsor.
