I'm accepting a settlement with my insurance company on my Citron silver 3-dr hatch '92 900S (5-sp) with 154K. The car t-boned a drunk red-light runner, airbags deployed and extensive front end damage & buckled hood. Occupants walked away without a scratch. Don't know if trans is cracked or not. I have the opportunity to buy the car back with a salvage title for $125 & insurance will tow at their expense.
I could stow the car in my garage and cannabilize the parts or sell whole as a parts car (E-bay?). The dash is fine and tires and rims are fine. Has any else done this?. Is it a good idea or a foolish idea I'll regret? Should I take the settlement and run or try to squeeze a few more bucks out?. I have two other (turbo) classic Saabs '86 &'88 SPG as stable mates & potential donor recepients.
