I just bought an 88 convertible. The bolster of the seat back was warn though and ragged looking. I happened to have a set from a 9000 that were the same color. Why not, I thought. First, I removed the seat from the car. I started by unzipping the cover. Your biggest obstacle will be the removal and installation of the headrest. To remove you must extend the headrest all the way up. Now you have to pull down on the fabric in the front until you see a screwhead. You will have to pull it down much further than you expect before you will see it. Once you find it you must remove it. Once that is out look under the headrest and you will see two tabs of a clip. Squeeze them together while moving it down just a bit and then up and out. To remove the remaining plastic piece there is a tab you push in with a screwdriver and it will lift out. OK, the worst is over. Now, beginning at the bottom, slowly peel the cover up inside out. You won't get far before you feel resistance. Look on the back side and you will see clips that secure the front side of the cover to the back. Undo the clips and continue to roll it inside out. You will find 2 or three more places where you will repeat the process. When you get near the top you will find it attached to the seat back with ring clips. These must be removed as well. At the very top there is one more place where the clips are part of the seatback. The cover is released by pushing down on the wire to get it out from under the hook.
