i have a 1994 convert automatic. it was just in the shop for the replacement of the speedo cable and motor mounts. The car and turbo have 140,000 miles and the enging has 50,000 miles (long story short, blown head gasket) I just drove the car to Panama florida, then to South beach miami then back to Southern indiana, about 3000 miles. South beach Miami is the most amazing place, i saw more bentlys than ford taruses, and many classic 900 converts. The car ran like a champ, i noticed the enourmouse amount of boost leaving panama on a cool misty morning. The car boosted to a little past mid red zone, for an automatic with no modifications i find this hard to beleive. I think it would hit the blow off valve in second gear at around 3400 rpms, becaused boost would sharply drop then climb again. She accereated much much quicker and had much more pizaz. She has been boosting like this ever sence even when hot. What do you all think could have been done, or what could be doing this, dont get me wrong i am enjoying it but i dont watn to put to much strain on the engine and tranny. Also how many psi is mid red?
