Gents,

Obviously Simon is confused here, so help me out. I understand that a non turbo motor will under normal conditions have some amount of vacuum in the intake manifold. Under full throttle this will drop to near atmospheric pressure. Good so far. So, the brake servo and the heating flaps and a couple of other things I'm forgetting all work by tapping into the ready supply of vacuum to move their flappers / bellows / levers. Still, good so far.

Now comes the turbo that disturbs that nice vacuum by stuffing the intake manifold with air and creating a high pressure. So what happens to all those vacuum driven devices? Somehow they all continue to work. What the hey. Over.

I ask this because I am going to convert my '87 900s to a turbo in the near future and would still like the brakes and heating and such to work.
