Hi all, i guess my posts last night didn't make it on. anyway, i'm taking the worn-out turbo off my 83. i've unbolted eveything, the vacuum bracket, the top and bottom oil connections, and got the driver's side of the unit off, exposing the turbine and shaft. I've loosened or taken off every other bolt or nut on the other side of the unit, but damned if the turbo will come off the manifold. should it just fall out? do i pry it out of the manifold? how is the passenger side of the unit fastened - via bolts or is is simply sitting in the housing? do i have to loosen the very farthest bolts of the exhaust manifold (ie at the elbow?) in order to get this mother out?
thx alot,
Wayne
