Hold off. I smoked my 70,000 mile old clutch pretty bad when my shift linkage failed and I was left with only 3rd, 4th and 5th and I tried to limp into an indie. The last hill in 3rd gear produced a ton of white smoke and a bad burning smell. That was a year and 20,000 miles ago, I had no problems with the clutch. Run it awhile and see if you have any symptoms of failure before spending any money. These cars are pretty tough.
