Hey, did you undo the trispoke nuts at the front of the Gear houseing? after you do those, there is a 10mm at the back end next to the key switch. Turn the housing to the right or left and undo the two torx screws maybe T30 that hold the plactic panel on bottom of gear house. Take shifter out of gear house. Make a diagram of how the wires were plugged into the electrical switch on top. Pull out the housing. Put the key into key switch and turn very slightly. On the left side you will see a small tunnel. I used a 7mm or 10mm torx and pushed inside this tunnel and it pushes in a locking pin. Lift up on the lock clylinder and then you will see the gear part of the electical switch. This gear is what striped out on mine last week. Keep note of how the gear was positioned to others. Remove any c clips if changing gears and reinstall as positioned previously. Simply put key into new switch, slide new switch into gear housing until it locks into place. When reinstalling just reverse the steps, and when you get to the shifter is 5 spd, make sure you have ignition switch in on position.
I know I may not of been clear, if you have a question I'll try to rephrase it. Good Luck,
